use jack stands or a locking lift. We recommend professional installation
by a licensed mechanic.

VEHICLE RIDE WARNING!
Trucks with lift kits or leveling kits installed have a higher center of
gravity. Aggressive direction changes may cause a tip over. Always drive
carefully and obey the speed limit.

Procedure:
It is not necessary to remove the wheels, however
it is necessary to unload the front suspension
- Lift
truck up, and make sure it is safe by using jack stands or a 2-post
lift that locks in place.
- Remove
torsion key adjusting bolt completely.
|
|
- Using
Ball Joint Remover, compress torsion key slightly so that you can
remove the piece that the torsion key-adjusting
bolt threaded into.
- Remove
tension on the Ball Joint Remover, allowing all tension to be relieved
from torsion bar.
- Slide
torsion bar forward, allowing OEM torsion key to fall out.

|
- On
HD models install new front shock mount (provided in kit)
- Install
Truxxx torsion key and slide torsion bar back into position.
IMPORTANT! Make sure Torsion Bar is extended at least ¼- ½ inch
through the Torsion Key.
Apply pressure with Ball Joint Remover to torsion key, and
create enough clearance to reinsert the torsion key keeper that the
torsion key-adjusting bolt threaded into.
- Remove
Ball Joint tool
- Reinstall
the torsion key-adjusting bolt, and adjust it to ¼” extends beyond
torsion key keeper. IMPORTANT! – each ¼” of adjustment on
the bolt equals 1” at the wheel. It is best to check ride height
after this initial setting and adjust as needed.
- We
recommend adjusting the headlights to compensate for the new vehicle
ride height.

The bracket for HD truck chassis. Failure to install this
bracket will make the ride very rough!
|
|
Note – the air dam may need to
be trimmed for additional clearance, depending on the size of tire fitted.
